The Barber of Seville London

From 22 September 2008 - 8 October 2008 one of the most sparkling comedies in opera, The Barber of Seville, is returning to London for only 7 performances at the London Coliseum. This performance of the comic opera marks the 21st anniversary of Jonathan Millers acclaimed ENO production.

The work tells the story of Figaro, the quick-witted barber who is hired to assist Count Almaviva in winning the hand of the lovely Rosina and save her from a greedy guardian Doctor Bartolo. Rossini veteran Andrew Shore reprises his performance as Bartolo and Anna Grevelius returns to ENO for her first Rosina.
Gioacchino Rossini's The Barber of Seville first went live in 1816 and became a landmark of Italian comedy in opera. The comedy best reflects the author's temperament and witty character.

Performance time is 2 hours and 50 minutes and you should book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Timings for the shows are 7:30pm Monday Sep 22, 7:30pm Thursday Sep 25, 7:30pm Saturday Sep 27, 7:30pm Thursday Oct 02, 6:30pm Saturday Oct 04, 7:30pm Wednesday Oct 08, 7:30pm Friday Oct 10. London Events - 100 Percent Design London

The 100 Percent Design London fair comes to Earls Court this September to inspire and excite all design fans. This is a part of London Design festival which begins 18 September but will be open to public on Sunday 21st September. If you are interested in architecture and design this is the place you should be this weekend. As there are hundreds of seminars and talks taking place throughout the fair. Also there will be a full seminar programme which gives design admirers innovative and exciting ideas.

Noted designers such as Mathmos, Hitch Mylius, and Tom Dixon exhibit alongside the award winning, not for profit agency Hidden Art. Hidden Art operate an online shop at www. hiddenartlondon.co.uk solely for its designer members. This year Levantina Bar designed by the Lime Studio who only graduated one year ago will be the star of 100 percent design.
Additionally, 100 percent Detail returns, foccused on new design materials, innovative building methods and 100 percent Light gives an excellent look into energy conservation. As this is primarily a trade fair, it's a great chance to take an inside look at the very latest design in furniture, fabrics and lighting.
Opening Hours for trade and designers is from 10am to 9pm on Thursday 18th, 10am to 7pm on Friday 19th, 10am to 6pm on Saturday 20th, and 11am to 6pm on Sunday 21st September 2008.
Entry for the public is from 11am to 6pm on Sunday 21st September only.
